WHY YOGA MATTERS ?


This is a question I get asked often or people are just curious about yoga & mostly the first thing when you think about yoga you might think about crazy flips & tricks


That is so not the case .


Yoga has been perceived in so many ways in the West , it is a deep spiritual practise that allow you to connect with oneself .


Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in ancient India. First codified by the sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras around 400 C.E, the practice was in fact handed down from teacher to student long before this text arose. Traditionally, this was a one-to-one transmission, but since yoga became popular in the West in the 20th century.


The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice aims to create union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness.


Yoga has a range of benefits that can support your Mental , Physical & Emotional health. Yoga is able to met most of your needs & make it accessible to you.



My own journey with yoga has been such a beautiful eye opener . I danced my entire life & always felts a deep connection with myself but yoga really took it to another level . It has allowed me to connect to my spiritual side & understand the true meaning of oneness & being in union with mind , body & spirt .


I truly believe that yoga can be life changing #wellbeingmatters

  • Around 44% of yoga practitioners practice yoga 2-3 times a week.

  • Over 55 million people will start practicing yoga by 2020.

  • 37% of yoga enthusiasts have children who also enjoy practicing.

  • Lack of flexibility is what holds 32% of non-yogis from trying yoga out.

  • Aside from in-person classes, 24% of people also use yoga apps or yoga guided by videos to practice.

  • A research conducted on 52 women with anxiety and depression has shown a decrease in symptoms after 12 sessions of hatha yoga.
